Calling for national conference on arts

The arts are an integral part of our communities and economy. Performing artists contacted me about the seriousness of their situation. Additional funding via the Canada Performing Arts Workers Resilience Fund (CPAWRF) is a positive step, but we are far from the end of this crisis.

I rose in the House of Commons of Canada to advocate for the government to hold a national conference on the future of the arts to ascertain the best course of action moving forward.

UPDATE: After being asked by MP Vuong on multiple occasions, the federal government finally follows through on its commitment to host a "National Culture Summit" on May 2, 2022.
