Advocating for global vaccine equity

Over 3 billion people worldwide are still waiting for their first dose, exposing us to the risk of new variants, lockdowns, and worse.

The Prime Minister had joined EU leaders to pledge that future COVID-19 vaccines, developed with government support, would be for the global public good and be made available, affordable and accessible. That pledge appears abandoned.

A TRIPS waiver to facilitate the temporary transfer of vaccine-making technology, as recommended in Motion M-43 brought forth by the Member of Parliament for Beaches–East York, will save lives in Canada and abroad.
